We’re too busy spending all of our tax dollars on terrorists, refugees, and social safety nets to actually put it towards something that would likely benefit us in the future.

Besides Indigenous people, everyone in Canada is an immigrant, refugee, or a descendent of one. In the case of the United States, immigrants and refugees were behind some of the biggest advances in science, technology, and medicine in the twentieth-century, with the American space program only being one prime example amongst many. The idea that refugees will not benefit “us” (whoever that is) just doesn’t stand up to facts, reason, or history. Besides an argument from efficiency, it’s also the morally right thing to do to help those in need.

Pass. Keep renting rides from companies that do it right. Launch a better phone and internet provider up there, that’s what the average Canadian really needs.

I absolutely love space! If I could I would live there I also want to become an astronaut and if I could have one last wish before I die I want to be shot into space to be with the stars and planets and dark hole.
